movie - quill
We went to see Quill - a japanese language film about a labrador puppy born in a litter of five and then chosen for guide dog training. Shuttled off to live with a childless couple until his first birthday, Quill impresses the chief trainer with his diligence and concentration. Unfortunately for Quill, he's assigned to Mr. Watanabe, a professional advocate for the disabled who at first resists the idea of being canine-led. Slowly, Wantanbe ventures into the outside world, and learning, not only to trust other humans, but the animal at his side who guides him. Quill is based on a true story.
It's well worth seeing.
