Teen with cerebral palsy is swimming across Lake Ontario

UPDATE: 6:08 a.m. There has been a slight course change: See updated map.
The crew has directed Jenna towards Fairfield Park in Amherstview due to the heavier winds she has been facing out of the NE. The change in direction will give Jenna the best chance at success. The change shouldn't have a large impact on the overall distance but will put the winds at Jenna's side instead of into her face. Jenna has had to face the winds at every turn with the winds having been constantly into her face throughout the swim.

Jenna Lambert, a teen with cerebral palsy, is currently swimming across Lake Ontario.
"So her whole body is affected, but her legs more so than her arms. So she will be dragging her legs through the water because she doesn't use them at all for her swimming,” said Lambert's coach Vicki Keith.
The swim is a fundraiser called, "The Kids 4 Kid's Marathon." If Jenna makes it all the way she will be the first female with a disability to swim across Lake Ontario.

Lambert says she wants people to see that nothing is impossible. The money raised in her swim will go towards the Kingston "Y" Penguins, which is a swim team for children with disabilities.
