Blizzard(TM)

After the movie tonight [see previous post] we went to Dairy Queen for a Blizzard(TM). Today was DQ's Miracle Treat Day - a one-day, national charity drive with proceeds from every Blizzard(TM) sold donated to Children's Miracle Network
children's hospitals and foundations. Last year Dairy Queen helped raise more than $1.6 million (from 570 DQ's) for children's hospitals across Canada. DQ in the US with more than 3,500 locations is participating for the first time this year.

For those who have never had one, a Blizzard(TM) is DQ's version of a McFlurry(TM). It's a mix of soft-serve ice cream, with some "stuff" mixed in, served in a cup, kind of like a very thick milkshake with chunks of things like cheesecake, M&Ms, Oreos, mouse parts (okay - just checking if you are reading), etc. I had their new Oreo Cheesecake Blizzard(TM). It's great - guilt free ice cream - in fact, it's more than that - have a Blizzard(TM) and you help people - what's not to like!!
