sound doctrine


Dave Walker of Cartoon Church posts this: sound doctrine.

Yes, there is solid truth that defines doctrine. But what is more important:
  • defining the fences / boundaries, or,
  • defining the centre?

I'm coming to this a little late, but I'll put in my 2 cents:

It is not possible to "define the centre" without "defining boundaries". Literally. I challenge somebody to do it.

Incidentally, it doesn't look like Dave Walker would have been a big fan of the apostles' idea of this, which he is apparently making fun of.

the way i read Walker's cartoon was to point out that some people / groups place more emphasis on defining fences [to keep people out] than defining and communicating the centre to invite people in
