To claim we believe is simply not enough

The Insane Zamboni posts this quote:
"...Christianity over the past two thousand years has moved from a tribe of renegades to a religion of conformists. Those who choose to follow Jesus must become participants in an insurrection. To claim we believe is simply not enough."

That is total and complete KRAP!!!

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life..."

I am getting tired of pious zealots adding to the basic gospel message. Sure, one may argue that there is more, but the initial and only requirement to salvation, and hence being a "christian" is to believe in Jesus.

Wait a minute Mr. Lewis. That's my job to trash the articles that Mike adds to his blog.

That being said, for once I think I'm going to support the post.

What about James 2:19
"Do you still think it's enough just to believe that there is one God? Well, even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror!"

Then again, the book of James almost didn't make the bible...

Anyway I think his point is that we need to do more than believe. We need to believe and accept Jesus as our Lord and Master, not just believe that he existed.

Does that help support the ice cleaning?

It's so nice to know I have people competing to trash what I post :-)
