paradox

untamed visions links to this poem by Peter @ The Rock.
Intro:
Profound or not e'er this might be,
though none be moved, it amuses me.

The land where I live, so strange it is:

So much money... so much debt.
So many rich... so many poor.
So much wealth... so little satisfaction.
So many "experts"... so much confusion.
So much beauty... so much pollution.
So much to love... so much hate.
So much talking... so little listening.
So many "spin doctors"... so few healing.
So much communication... so little truth.
So many physicians... so many sick.
So many organizations... so much disorder.
So many clubs... so many lonely.
So much religion... so few believers.
So much to be thankful for... so little gratitude.
So much efficiency... so little spare time.
So many conveniences... so little comfort.
So much disposable... so little that lasts.
So much peace... so much conflict.
So much greed... so much need.
So much advice... so little wisdom.
So many protections... so much fear.
So much music... so much noise.
So much diversity... so many copies.
So much entertainment... so much emptiness.
So much sin... so much forgiveness.
So many contests... so few winners.
So many lottery tickets... so few lucky. (or unlucky, I say)
So much to see... so many blind.
So many debates... so little understanding.
So many dollars... so little sense.
So much to endure... so much to enjoy.
So much to gain... so much to lose.
So many unsung heroes... so many singing toys... so many batteries sold... so many things disposed... so many days go by... so many tears to cry... so many times to say goodbye...
