Reflections of a Jazz Theologian Live!

I wish I was in Denver this summer. Robert Gelinas, the jazz theologian is hosting Reflections of a Jazz Theologian Live!

Upper_pic4 For seven weeks this summer (starting mid July) on Wednesday evenings we will discover the gospel in jazz in a very unique way. Each week from 7-9pm we will bring together some of Denver's best jazz talent (and a blues brother from Memphis) as well as yours truly for a very unique experience.

An average evening will consist of a half hour of music, followed by 30ish minutes of teaching about the connections between jazz and following Jesus and then about another hour of great music, illustrating the principles taught.

Upper_pic1The cost will be minimal for all seven weeks, but seating is limited to 200 as this will be held in The Upper Room at Iliff and Chambers. (see pictures)

Sounds wonderful. I am envious.
