some just plain fun music

Have some fun today... take a listen to a couple of songs... just for fun

1/ The Zimmers
The Zimmers are a choir of senior citizens. Check them out singing "My Generation" via boing boing. Formed in early 2007, The Zimmers are not only the oldest gigging band in the world (with an average age of 78), they are also the most celebrated, having recorded their debut album at the famous Abbey Road Studios

Here's their myspace page: The Zimmers

2/ What if the Beatles were Irish?
Roy Zimmerman answers the age old question: "What if the Beatles were Irish?" by playing a very funny medley of jig versions of famous Beatles songs via boing boing

Don't you just the lyrics that these seniors - some in their 90's are singing!
People try to put us d-down (talkin bout my generation)
Just because we get around (talkin bout my generation)
Things they do look awful c-c-cold (talkin bout my generation)
I hope I die before I get old (talkin bout my generation)

It's obvious for them that growing old is a state of mind.

It's great seeing people acting like they are alive & enjoying what they are doing...

But as ROG says... we know some people who are much younger (chronologically) who act a lot older than the folks in the video.

next time you are with brothers & sisters... have fun... enjoy... laugh... maybe even dance!

And despite ROG's allusion... it is just an illusion... that is not me in the video (not yet anyway)
