Canadian football teams need to rethink their approach to the game.

• Canada's Men's under 20 team played a very defensive style.
• Canada's Women's team was eliminated in the World Cup, in part because they moved to the defensive as soon as they got the lead.
• I'm watching Toronto FC tonight, and it's the same thing. Toronto takes the lead in the 1st half, but the open the 2nd half on the defensive, and the DC ties the game.

We are not strong enough to defend a small lead. But we can attack well. If we would stay away from a defensive approach we might do better than we have been.
