Get out there and vote.
If for no other reason than... if you don't vote... you have no right to complain for the next 4 years!
In my riding of Kitchener-Waterloo I get to choose between:
- Liberal: Louise Ervin - who actually distributed election material before the official start of the campaign
- PC: Elizabeth Witmer - long time member of parliament
- NDP: Catherine Fife - school trustee
- Green: Judy Greenwood Spears
- Family Coalition Party: Louis Reitzel - practically invisible in this campaign
As well there is a referendum taking place to consider changing from a First Past the Post to a Mixed Member Proportional. Interestingly the 3 main (traditional) parties have said essentially nothing on this. Of course, they don't want a MMP system (even though there is a great possibility of patronage appointments in the MMP system) because it would allow newer parties (like the Green) to have representation on the Legislature.
Is the MMP system a good one? I'm not convinced that the way that it is being presented is the best, but I think a MMP system is better than what we have (which, works great in a 2 or 3 party system).

I don't usually let people know how I'm going to vote... I think we need some fresh thinking... I'm leaning heavily toward voting Green and MMP

Both the NDP as a party and Catherine Fife personally support MMP.
