books
This amazing book store in Maastricht, Netherlands was retrofitted into an 800 year old church. If that's your sort of thing, you might want to revisit The Nonist's Red Hot Library Smut. via coudal.

megachurches
There are just over 1,300 megachurches in the United States, according to the most recent survey by Prof. Scott Thumma at the Hartford Institute for Religion Research. These are churches that average at least 2,000 in weekly attendance. The shaded areas reflect the density of megachurches in counties across the United States, based on the most recent census figures. NY Times

Re: Library - does the Libraian or God give you rebuke if one is caught talking or chewing gum? Nice digs but I prefer a big soft couch on which to recline while reading.

Re: Mega Church - I believe there is only one Mega Church and the dot will be correctly placed on the map in the near future...location is Zion (LOL)

By the way what 'denomination' has the most Mega Churchs in N.America? My guess is Baptist or Pentecostal...am I correct - or do Wesleyans predominate - more laughter?

Re: The Stryper hair

I've noticed Mike's hair has been getting a little longer. Now I know where the influence is coming from...

Anybody heard if he's working on the electric guitar. I'll really get worried if he starts being spoting around town in black and yellow striped clothing...

Take refuge in knowing that at least five US states will be spared from Americaland style church shooting sprees.

According to that map, there are no megachurches in:

Wyoming
South Dakota
Vermont
New Hampshire
Maine

Sadly, this list is also the same for "most boring places to visit in America".
