Southern Ontario has had much cold and snow recently.
I was supposed to be speaking at Orillia Community Church on Sunday. We started out at 8am from Janice's mom's north of Uxbridge and made it as far as #48 and #12 [near Beaverton] before turning back. Visibility was down to very little in places. By the time we made our way back through Udora the road was down to a single lane. The wind was high, and temp was bitterly high.
So we took Janice's mom down to St Paul's Presbyterian Church in Leaskdale, where Hans Kouwenberg, the moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada was speaking [a former sister-in-law and his neices were part of our church in Aylmer]. He's a good guy: a huge promoter of holistic small groups and grace. His message at this year's assembly, he said, is going to be on The Prodigal and the Presbyterian [the older brother] - one of the things that Presbyterians need to learn is to loosen up and have fun!
