payback

Friday, November 14, 2008

I haven't yet listened to this year's Massey Lectures - they are often very good.
They are available for download as podcasts from CBC.
This year the lectures were given by Margaret Atwood and are entitled: Payback: debt and the shadow side of wealth.

As, I said, I haven't yet listened to this year's lectures - but the promo for tonight (the final lecture) sounds interesting.
Heaven is a place where there is no debt - everything has been paid.
Hell is a place where there is debt with no possibility of paying it off. It's like living eternally with a maxed out credit card.
