Church needs to be described in light of: 

• Who God is and what God has done, 
• Who God made the Church to be and what God saved and created Her to do. 

It's not so much definition as description. Almost any definition will end up being too narrow, because God is always doing new things. We aren't defined by what we do. We're defined by what God has done in the person and work of Jesus Christ. What we do is based on, and motivated by, what God has done and who God has made us to be.


And so, church is not something we go to, it is not an event; it's community. Mission is not an event; it's a lifestyle - we are on mission because God is missional.

We need the community of faith so we keep on encouraging one another to stay on mission.
