top 5 books of the year

One of my currently non-blogging friends... let me clarify - he is a friend, he's just not blogging at present asked what my 5 best reads were in 2007.

So, here's my list of my top 5 reads in 2007, listed alphabetically by author:
  • Dan Allender, Leading With A Limp, 2006
  • Shane Chaiborne, The Irresistable Revolution: living as an ordinary radical, 2006
  • Earl Creps, Off-Road Disciplines, 2006
  • Brian McLaren, The Secret Message of Jesus: Uncovering the Truth that Could Change Everything, 2006
  • Michael Yaconelli, Dangerous Wonder, 1998
And, as a bonus, I reread one of my favourite novels:
  • Chaim Potok, My Name is Asher Lev, 1972
What's your top 5 reads of 2007?

Ok so,

I am going to stop obsessing and just pick my last five good reads. I always find something in everything I read so the best....not easy for me.

No particular order following the lead of the Belmonite :)

The Divine Exchange: My Life for His by Stelman H. Smith

Honor (or Honour if you are Canadian) by Fawn Parish

Being the Body by Charles Colson & Ellen Vaughn

Becoming a True Spiritual Community by Larry Crabb

Wholly Sanctified by A. B. Simpson

Fiction.....if you have read my blog :) The Shack by William P. Young

Music......Leeland (Sound of Melodies) does it for me this year, Casting Crowns always in the running.

I never was good at following rules.

Isn't nuthin' better than a good book and some tunes in the background...unless it is fellowship with my brothers and sisters. God's Blessings!

In Him,

Vanessa

Thanks for the top 5 mention! I'm honored. I've developed the chapter on reverse mentoring into a book that will be out next fall. Hope it makes the list!
