The Leafs said: we will make the playoffs and compete for the Cup.
The Canadians said: this is a rebuilding year, don't expect us to make the playoffs.
Toronto is... no where to be seen.
Montreal is... 1st in the East.
I'm not sure how far Montreal will go this years, but Montreal was the last Canadian team to win the Cup: 1992-93 and Montreal is the only team to win the Cup in every decade.
