roundup in waterloo

I knew that Waterloo wasn't all that bog... I guess this illustrates this...

Last night, 63 beef cattle escaped from a farm near RIM Park. Darkness and heavy rain hampered efforts to round them up but a crew of local farmers, police and professional rodeo performers hit the streets at first light today....

By mid-afternoon today, at least 49 steers had been caught. Many of the captures were the dramatic stuff of western movies, with real-life cowboys and cowgirls tossing lassos around cows running amok through fields and along the Grand River.

Too funny. I wondered what was up when I went out at lunch and saw a few people trying to track down a steer by the far side of the parking lot at work. Not used to seeing that in the city...
