book review: being flawsome

title: Being Flawesome

author: Nicholas Matthews
date: 2020
publisher: Resource Publications

Nicolas Matthews tackles what it means to be a new person in Christ. He writes with hope and honesty about the struggle of being in Christ and also struggling.

Matthews unpacks some of what it means to be totally alive to God, free to live and love and respond as representatives of Jesus and to partner with Jesus in his mission.

"Becoming" is a key to understanding our identity, the identity we have in Christ. The identity we are known in Christ. Becoming who we were created to be is a lifelong journey of adventure.

How we live, what we do, what we think are rooted in this world and therefore imperfection, and so we often struggle and find ourselves living in a confused state of mind.

Being Flawesome explores the tension between flawed character and perfected identity and points us to living a life of becoming imperfectly perfect.
