A Piece of Good Literature?

purple pastor has been reading Neil Cole's Organic Church: Growing Faith Where Life Happens.

I really should read this book [after I read the dozen or so that ahead of it on my list]. Any book that looks like a coffee cup has got to be good... right!?

OK, so maybe I shouldn't judge the book by it's cover, all add up to what looks like a good read. Having said that, purple pastor says that the most compelling statement in Neil’s book wasn’t even written by Neil, but by India’s own prophet, Mohandas Gandhi.
You Christians look after a document containing enough dynamite to blow all civilization to pieces, turn the world upside down, and bring peace to a battle-torn planet. But you treat it as though it is nothing more than a piece of good literature.
Gandhi’s words have a way of cutting through everything and refocused our attention on the vital importance of Scripture for all of life. I cannot live without it. Neither can my church. It is a book that calls use to a way of living that is noticeably different than the values of our world / culture.
